Cycling through southern Vietnam we had many unexpected surprises. One of the best discoveries was the many Khmer Temples which showed up on no maps. As monks are scholars, their warmth, curiosity and genrosity were always a welcome sight. It was in their midst that gentleness, boldness, and authenticity seemed natural and easy. It was as if whatever the topic of discussion, it was a conversation between kindred spirits who could see beyod or physical forms and into the uiversal truths of the human experience.
